Head of Global Health IT at Office of the National Coordinator For Health IT

Aisha Hasan is a high-performing leader for health IT. She has more than 14 years of experience with a portfolio in health IT, healthcare policy, government and business. She is entrepreneurial and a team player recognized for strengthening global healthcare systems. She drives change by bridging the gap between healthcare policy, innovation and technology to galvanize person-centered care. Ms. Hasan is the head of global health IT at ONC. In this role, she directs ONC’s global health IT efforts. She develops and leads the agency’s digital health international strategy, programs, investments, relationships and speaking, and represents the health IT policies, strategy, and standards equities of the U.S. in multi-lateral engagements with the U.S. government, countries, territories, and international organizations and alliances. Previously, she worked as a health team senior advisor at Apple. At ONC, she served as deputy director leading ONC’s Congressional affairs, finance and human capital, and also as the senior advisor to the national coordinator. She worked at various agencies where she executed on high-priority agency goals, including the HHS IOS, NIH, OASH and ASPR. She served at the White House at OMB and the Office of the United States Vice President. Her MBA work ranked her in the top 5 percent, focusing on strategic management and health IT, from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is a Project Management Institute certified PMP and a Scrum Alliance CSM. She earned her BS cum laude in health, focusing on health policy, from University of Maryland, College Park.
