Yusuf Tamer is a principal data and applied Scientist at PCCI, a nonprofit data science and technology company in Dallas, Texas. He studied molecular biology and genetics as an undergraduate. He completed his PhD work in molecular biophysics and computational biology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center with a focus on translational medicine. As a data scientist in a healthcare institution, he builds predictive clinical decision support systems such as Sepsis, and pediatric asthma risk models. His current role also focuses on extracting population-level insights to inform strategic decisions for clients and stakeholders.
