Title: Testing Challenge: Moving From Software Customer to Software Vendor

Description: Over the last two decades, health systems have been primarily customers of software and not developers of software. Now that health systems are increasingly creating applications for both internal and external users, how can they pivot to taking on quality assurance roles?

Including existing IT team members in software development will require organizations to conduct software testing utilizing tools that achieve separation between builders and testers while simultaneously reducing barriers for those staff who are less technically savvy. By combining low-code solutions with plain English scripting, health systems can avoid trading operationally and clinically experienced staff for employees with an exclusively coding background.
