Title: Helping Healthcare Heal Itself

Description: Care providers are hurting. The systems they work within are faced with seemingly impossible choices. And patients are unable to afford care—if they can access it in the first place. We can’t ignore the realities in front of us. But we can agree that it doesn’t have to be this way. Advances in interoperability are simplifying care delivery across the country, yet standards, policy and reimbursement models have yet to catch up. It’s time industry stakeholders lead by example—collaborating to improve access to healthcare for patients by making the necessary changes to policy, compensation and technology to empower clinicians to collaborate in a different way. From clinicians and pharmacists to payers, technology platforms and life sciences companies, it takes many different hands to support each patient. Together, we have the potential to meaningfully reduce clinician burnout and deliver better informed, higher quality and less costly care to patients across the country. Join us in the Interoperability Showcase to learn more about how we can work together to empower healthcare professionals with trusted insights and transform care for patients. We’ll share how we’re replacing faxes and phone calls with simpler, in-workflow solutions that help patients and their care teams spend less time waiting to start treatment. We’ll explore how we’re helping healthcare professionals break through communication barriers and work across organizations more efficiently. And we’ll look at how we’re reducing administrative burdens that fuel clinician burnout by simplifying processes like prior authorization, benefit checks and gathering information for specialty prescriptions.
