Title: Leveraging EMR Data for Messaging and Its Effect on COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Uptake

Description: Efficiency in healthcare information dissemination gained focus during COVID-19. We noted disparities in Sacramento's vaccination rates and aimed to improve them through tailored text messaging. Our study investigates the effectiveness of a multi-channel digital communication “TRUST” messaging campaign at UC Davis Health in increasing booster vaccination rates among hesitant communities. Our study demonstrates that the MyChart-Chatbot group had a significantly higher likelihood of increasing COVID-19 booster rates in the community compared to the Routine Care group with no intervention.

Level: Introductory
